Vast, Untamed, and Unforgettable

The Kimberleys, located in Western Australia, are a frontier of vast wilderness. Most of its famous sites are only accessible by boat or plane, making it one of the most untouched and pristine areas in the world!

Most itineraries to Kimberleys begin at Broome, which was once the pearling hub of the world. The harbour city is also home to the iconic Cable Beach and its camel rides. About four hours from Broome, Cygnet Bay is renowned for its pearl farms. From here, discover secluded coves by navigating the Dampier Peninsula. Then, go to the Buccaneer Archipelago and explore its 1,000 islands with soaring red cliffs and magnificent cascades. Make a stop at Horizontal Falls, where fast-moving tidal waters rush through narrow gaps in the cliffs. Nearby, Talbot Bay has stunning opportunities to spot endemic and migrating wildlife like dolphins, sea turtles, and different bird species.

While these famous spots are definitely worth visiting, the Kimberleys’ true allure lies in its hidden treasures, like the serene, uninhabited beaches of the Lacepede Islands or the rugged, dramatic cliffs of the Mitchell River. Continue to the majestic King George Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in Western Australia, cascading over 80 meters of steep red cliffs.

Alternatively, begin at Lake Argyle and explore the Eastern Kimberley and the Kimberley Plateau Region. From Lake Argyle, land or plane excursions can be arranged to the World Heritage-listed Purnululu National Park. The national park is also home to the 350-million-year-old formation, Bungle Bungle Range.

Yachts can easily access secluded anchorages along the coast, where you can explore wildlife-rich mangroves, fishing spots, and stunning hiking trails. The Kimberleys’ warm weather and diverse marine life make them a fantastic destination for water activities such as fishing, snorkelling, and diving.
